The role
We're looking for a backend-heavy senior engineer who isn't afraid to touch the full stack. Your primary domain is our Golang services and distributed architecture, but you're a product engineer at heart — you understand the why behind the code and can jump into the React/Next.js frontend whenever that's the shortest path to delivering value. You'll join a lean tech team of fewer than 15 people, on systems that move around $1M in payouts every month.
What you'll do
- Design and ship Golang services inside a high-performance distributed system.
- Move from system design to production-ready code — clean code, test coverage, and documentation included.
- Contribute to the React/Next.js frontend when that's the fastest way to deliver.
- Work on payment infrastructure that handles around $1M in monthly payouts.
- Build event-driven flows and real-time data processing.
- Mentor other engineers and raise the engineering bar as the team grows.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of backend experience, including at least 3 years of mastery in Golang.
- Comfortable with high-performance distributed systems.
- The skills to navigate and contribute to a React/Next.js frontend.
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis, ideally GCP.
- Architectural mindset — you move seamlessly from system design to shipped code.
- High-bandwidth communicator who mentors others and leaves ego at the door.
- Bonus: payment systems, event-driven architectures, or real-time data processing.
What we offer
- A competitive salary that reflects the impact you have, reviewed as you grow into more.
- Flexible time off — take what you need. We trust adults to manage their own energy, not a leave balance.
- Remote-first: work wherever you’re most productive, and we get together in person when it makes sense.
- A one-time $1,000 home office bonus to set up a workspace you’ll actually want to work from.
- An annual education stipend for books, courses, and conferences.
